Capitol Engineering Group is the MEP for a new mixed-use development in Williamsburg, VA. The project includes four new mixed-use buildings and a parking garage, totaling approximately 350,000 SF of residential and indoor/ outdoor amenity space comprised of 240 units, with the ability to accommodate over 630 residents. 60,000 SF of the ground-floor retail space will be serving the residents, local community and the adjacent College of William and Mary.

Capitol Engineering Group is the MEP for a five-story, 93-unit apartment building in Alexandria, VA. The project will transform property previously owned by the St. James United Methodist Church and the Bi-District Office of the Northern Virginia Methodist Church into affordable apartments adjacent to market-rate homes.

House of Lebanon, Washington, D.C.

The Margaret Murray Washington Career High School (MM Washington) is located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC. Built in 1912, the school is part of a cluster of African American schools constructed around the same time as middle class African American families, who were restricted from living in other sections of the city by restrictive covenants, moved into the neighborhood in the late nineteenth century. The building will be developed into 90+ units of affordable senior housing, The House of Lebanon, and 15,000 s.f. of community space with an estimated project cost of $25 to $30 million. Capitol Engineering Group is the MEP engineer for this project.

The Heights will consist of a sustainable, mixed-use affordable rental housing development with ground floor retail to be built at the intersection of Georgia Avenue, NW and Lamont Street, NW of Washington, DC. This project will contain 69 units with 10,000 square feet of ground floor retail. At least 50% of the units will be affordable at 60% to 80% AMI. Delivery is scheduled for the 3rd Quarter 2011.
