Bald Eagle Recreation Center Modernization

Capitol Engineering Group is the MEP engineer for Bald Eagle Recreation Center. The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is expanding and modernizing the Bald Eagle Recreation Center with three project components: modernization, boxing annex expansion, and outdoor improvements.
Modernization: DPR is modernizing the existing recreation center. All program areas are being improved. Project elements include: •New reception and front desk •New multipurpose and program rooms •New kitchen •New restrooms •Upgraded computer lab •New finishes (paint and flooring) throughout the building Boxing Annex Expansion The new 6,600 square-foot addition will house Bald Eagle's boxing program. The new building will include: •Boxing gym •Fitness area •Locker rooms •Shadow boxing area •Trophy case •Pantry •Storage and office area

Union Station is the grand ceremonial train station designed to be the entrance to Washington, D.C., when it opened in 1908. It is one of the busiest and best-known places in Washington, D.C., visited by 32 million people each year. The terminal is served by Amtrak, MARC and VRE commuter railroads, and the Washington Metro transit system of buses and subway trains. The facility serves as the headquarters of Amtrak. Presidential Inaugural Stands in Washington, D.C.

Capitol Engineering Group was recently awarded the MEP engineering design contract for the Presidential Inaugural Stands in Washington DC. A group marches in the inaugural parade of President Barack Obama, in Washington, Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009.
